图书介绍:当前我们正致力于四个现代化建设,迫切需要了解世界各国政治、经济、文化和科学技术方面的新情况、新信息、新经验,了解有关新技术革命中的种种知识,以便不断充实自己和调整自己的步伐,卓有成效地从事自己的工作。为此越来越多的人需要阅读英美报刊。但是英美报刊的用词造句,与其他方面的英文材料相比,有着许多差异,因而,读者在阅读英美报刊时一定会遇到不少困难。为满足广大读者阅读英文报刊的需要,我们把多年来在报刊英语教学中所积累的材料,加以整理、补充、注释,编成了本书,供广大英语自学者、涉外工作者、新闻宣传工作者学习之用,亦可供大专院校师生参考。本书分两章:即英文报刊中的各类新闻报道和报刊英语的特点。各类新闻报道分:1)新闻类型(StoryType)新闻类型是根据当代英美大报中出现的栏目,按新闻特点,分类介绍。每一新闻类型,以英文综述,再附中文译文。2)新闻条目(NewsItems)在各类新闻中,编入精选的该类新闻条目若干,以供读者阅读学习。这些新闻条目均选自当代英美报刊,或英美新闻学的范文,读者除以阅读到典型的新闻报道外,还可以学到新闻文体写作特点,学到大量报利用词汇。3)注释(Notes)对新闻条目中
